I think WD40 works, it's what I've heard.

I don't know, im gona let someone else answer that...
I know rubbing alcohol can work and that doesn't hurt the paint. you might have to do a hell of a lot of scrubbing though...that's how I took care of the glue on the fender emblems when I replaced them. it didn't completely remove it all but it was good enough...and this decal that you're trying to remove may be a different kind of glue that is maybe not as strong, i don't know though.

ewhh no trust... ha

get a hot air dry... point it at any thing held on by glue and then either just pick it off or i have heard people getting floss and with a sawing motion severing the connection...

if you only leave wd40 and PB blaster on the car for a short amount of time and wipe it off with window cleaner their will be no damage done to the paint... i have done that to multiple cars.

Go to a junk yard and give it a shot on something there first.

Try it on your girlfriends car. Then just deny the hell out of it.

Go to the mall and find a similar year stang (or security car, you know they'll be there tomorrow). Try any method you would like on it. Wait a few days and see if the car shows back up and check results.

Seriously, try a method on the inside of the trunk lid where you can't see it if it messes up your paint

Im just rattling now...
I dont know if goo-gone will hurt the paint but it would probably take any adhesive off due to the orange oil in contains.

Is that 5hp per side or a combined effort?

Go to any auto parts store. There's tons of different chemicals that are clearcoat safe that remove labels, decals, stickers, emblems, bugs and tar.
I use lacquer thinner then buff it, but I do that like 2-3 times a week at work.
