Plasti-dip Rims?

I live in maryland and well. we dont get to much snow here, but for some reason our road crews love to spread salt and sand like it was free. I really dont want my deep dish chrome cobra rims getting pitted up with this crap.. So I was thinking about plastidiping them for the winter. Does anyone have input on this? I was planning to just go with the flat black plastidip.. I dont think it will look to bad on the blue car lol

I'd just throw the stockers back on for winter if you have them.

I think it will look pretty good.. But how well does it hold up to the elements? How often will I have to redo them? The stock tires arnt an option.. they are balder then a babies butt lol

My wheels are plasti dipped. It's held up well to driving in all conditions and washing with soad and water, but I made the mistake of putting a heavy duty wheel cleaning foam type stuff on one and it ate right through it. So just be careful. But it should work perfect for what you want

Thanks. Ill Post pictures of it whenever I can. I thought the whole idea of it went out the window last night. I was on my way to my girlfriends house and poof out of no where a cat runs across the street. I know cat+fiberglass front bumper doesn't make out for a good ending. Surprisingly when I got out and checked it, I found no damage. I only found a few guts on the bumper lol. I did hear a THUMP............................................. Thump though

well. so far so good. We've had a tiny bit of snow and of course the MD State Roads Department with crazy with the salt and sand. The plastidip has help up pretty well. Ive took it to the carwash a couple times now and the pressure washer didnt effect it at all.. This is some durable stuff. Im just hoping that when i do decide to remove it , it

A) Comes off the chrome alright
B)Doesnt reveal my chrome to be pitted and rusty

It should come off easy and leave the chrome just as it was before. Everyone I've talked to said it just peels off in one big sheet
