I'm almost 50 and I like black accents, I think it boils down to what you have and what you think would look good.
Hell, as far as factory Mustangs go, early and late Mach I's had the most black accents from the factory, (black shaker scoop, black on the hood, black rocker stripe, black front and rear spoilers, black tail light panel, later ones have tinted headlights and grill delete looks blacked out) you even have black bumper inserts.
