Big gray wire in the center of your headlight knob harness is a switched +12V that comes on with the parking lights and headlights in your 2002. That's probably the easiest way to go about it without having to run wires from the tail lights.

Do you have an aftermarket radio with a harness? If I could do mine again, insteda of a switch, I'd tap it right into the illumination wire on my aftermarket radio harness...That way you're not tapping into any stock wires

Ever consider LED's instead of neons? Brighter, more durable, and you can bend them anround anything you want. Here are mine:

Also, you can disable PATS in a tune if you are concerned about it

well thats whats i have is LEDs my bad. but yea the wires are only like 15in long or so off of them thats why i figured id have to stay in the trunk with the wiring unless i bought more wire then ran it all thru the panels and such.

People will call neons gay, but what is the difference between that and ambient lighting and this?

im just used to calling anything with color neons. i've never had a problem with tasteful lighting "mods". theres a thin line of over doing it though haha. mine is just for the rear seat delete only. just trying to figure the best way of doing it without messing anything up and having it look shitty. that was just mocked up with the little "try me" switch with the LED lights.

i know this thread ended up dead from the beginning then when it got moved to visual it was set on fire while dead but...me and buddy wired in my lights last night..you cant even tell anything was done he did such a good job...T tapped into the lic plate wires above the LR wheel well in the trunk..secured it to the vehicle for a ground with a relay..ran a power wire to the battery with a fuse inline and then zip tied the lights to the mach 460 wiring on top so you cant see them at all unless you take out the rear seat delete...it was dark or i woulda took pictures.
