depends upon what all needs to be done with it and what kind of quality of work you are looking for. anyone can go down and get the $200 paint job, but it will look like crap.

Maaco does nice work for cheap if you prep the car yourself.

The painters do a dozen jobs a week, so they know what they are doing, but they don't put any work into paint prepping.

The prices elsewhere really range anywhere from 200-2000+ depending on what color/company paint you want...

It depends on what color you want to

for example, if you were to go from red to black, it would need to be prepped, door jams need to be painted as well as the engine bay and other areas, and spray the car with maybe a 2 stage black

sanding is really not needed, all you gotta do is scuff it down it down till there is no shine and spray right over the original color
