Wax Help

Hey guys i wanna put on a coat of wax on my car.. I think the simple steps are:
rinse
wash
rinse
claybar
rinse
wax

Right?

The guy at pepboys said i should just got with turtle wax. What do you guys recommend? I have never waxed a car before (or used a polisher), is it better to buy a polisher or to use just towels?

rinse
wash
rinse
Dry
claybar
wax

I prefer Meguires NXT. Also use an aplictor pad to apply the wax and a micro fiber cloth to remove it. When you use the claybar you use something like Meguires quick dtailer to lube the paint then you dry the section you just did with the CB with a MF cloth.

awesome.. so a buffer isn't necessary? Does a buffer do a better job?

wait, you use a detailer before you claybar? I'm confused.

And you dont need to rinse between CBing and waxing?

this one?

How do you apply that? Just an MF towel in small circles as well?

So in the end can you confirm this:
rinse
wash
rinse
let dry
claybar
polish
wax

is that right? Is there any rinsing done between CBing and waxing?

you apply the polish before you wax.

it's just like buffing the car.. it will make it shine than you put the wax on top to protect it.

I would stick with one product when detailing your car. they all differ a little.

detailer to lube and then claybar
polish
