to paint or not to paint?

i was thinking about painting the interior of my car and i might run out tomorrow to get the paint i need, but i want to know something first. I have an electric green car with tan interior. Do you think that painting my interior pieces the same color as the outside of my car will look good with the tan interior? and just so you have an idea, here's my car just to help out a bit...

probably the arm rest things above the door handles, the center console thing around the head unit, and i was also thinking about doing the outside part of the gauges behind the steering wheel. Also, does anyone know where i can get my color spray, cause i didn't find any at pep-boys or autozone?

Yeah, I think that would be pretty sweet! Here is the link to a mustang gt that I saw on ebay that is pretty sick lookin and has a bunch of things painted(i guess it's painted) inside his car. Take a look. Looks like he did the cup holder, the glove box handle, the frames around the air vents, the defrost vents, the frame around the shifter, and also the things you mentioned. I like it alot.

I have a black car w/ tan leather interior and the rest black where his black and red is. I dont know what color I would use, what do u think would look good. I was also thinking of instead of painting, wrapping that stuff in swade(or swede, i dunno). Just ideas.

yea that car does look pretty nice, and that gave me a few more ideas for what else i can paint, thank you for that. And if you found a way to wrap or whatever those pieces or whichever pieces you were thinking about in suede or something i think that'd be the coolest thing i've ever seen, lol. i don't know but it seems like it'd be a pretty sweet idea to me. as far as your car though, i don't know, i think if you had some other accent colors to the outside of the car i'd go off of that, but if your car is all black on the outside, i guess i'd have to go with red or something. Not sure how that would look though.

No problem. I really wanna see u pull it off. What kind of paint do u use and whats ur method of painting it to make it look nice and not cheap?

Yeah, suede would be sweet!

Red was all I could think of too. I have red calipers, and my struts, including the tops of them are red, so not alot. But it might work, I'd have to sit down and try to picture it...

there's an article i read showing you how to go about painting the pieces, and it says to use dupli color paint and then yes some clear coat for that extra shine ya know. http://www.mustangworld.com/ourpics/...eriorpaint.htm

check that site out, it should tell you everything you need to know, and that's the way i'll be doing it.
