power washer being a cleaner ? or u mean like a pressure washer? i wouldnt dare use a pressure washer thats for sure...Engine cleaner, some rags, time, and armorall like AB said if u want that shine...just try not to spray directly into the sensors...and make sure that fuse box is closed

I use undeluted Simple Green. Not because I care about the environmnet either. The shit works and you can get it on anything without damage... well, not everything. I cover the end of my intake with a garbage bag. I spray it on everything else. Ive never had a problem.

Here's a tip. Do it in the morning so you can start with a cool engine.
start the motor and run it for about 60 seconds then shut it back off. This warms it up just a bit without getting it hot. The warmth helps the degreaser work better. Then let the fun begin. Spray the shit out of it. Get all the dirty spots real good. Let it soak for a few minutes without letting it dry.

I will then use a hose without a nozzle. I basically just "flood" the engine. I'll put my thumb over the hose for a little pressure in the real bad spots but thats about it. Rinse it down real good. Start her up and let it dry out.

If you do this everytime you wash your car, it makes it easier. The longer you leave shit in there the harder it will be to get it off. It only takes an extra 10 minutes.

Use common sense! Dont go spraying water hard at the oil cap and places like that. Yes, it will resist water but why take the chance. Dont be dumb or distracted. Pay attention to what your doing.

A clean engine is not only prettier, its more efficient and will make it healthier. You'll be able to see problems while they are still minor that you may have not seen under dirt and grime.

wheel cleaner works really well. it doesnt leave a residue. also get a air compressor and buy an attachment to you can spary water out of it. works great. just cover all the sensors and air filter and coil.
