its true they fit but it is a very rough ride...also Plan on throwing your spare tire away because you wont be able to use it anymore and make sure you spend the extra money for run flats because when you get a flat chances are you will have to order a new tire and wait for a replacement.

but if you could use the extra trunk space and have the crazy dollars for run flat 20's...which by the way can and will blow when hitting the smallest pot-hole then here is pic of how they will look

pic of 20's from mrbodykit

as you can see there isnt much rubber/cushion between the rim and road. that rim will pinch the tire in potholes and cause a flat.

Can you still use the spare with 18 inch rims?

If not, how big can you go without having to chuck the spare?

just curious.

you can still use the spare with 18's.

the spare is just a band aid until you get it to the shop to fix your tire.
(which should be asap)

Max tire size, width

Hey Guys,
Great info on this forum..
My wife hates the '00 V6 convertible I bought her, it's a 5 speed and she mostly drives it around our busy little town, so...
I guess there is nothing to do but dump a bunch of money into it so I can sell it in awhile when I get bored of it (this is a recurring pattern of mine)
Anyway I like the car but the stock 15's look silly on it. I want to go with a tire and wheel combo that "fill up" the wheel well. I don't think I will lower it much if any.
I am thinking 18s on the front and 19s rear as suggested above.
I would like to go as wide as possible so from what I have researched that's gonna be 245/40-18 (25.7" overall height) front on a 9" rim, and most wheel and tire sites say 285/30-19 (26" overal height) on a 10.5 rear rim.
Stock height on the 205/65-15s is 25.5" My real problem is I live in Mexico so I can't just pull into a wheel and tire place to try stuff on, I gotta know for sure b4 I order the package.
305/30-19 I think would fit in the back, but I am not sure on the ideal backspacing to "center" that size in the wheel well.
Anyone suffered through trying all these combos to see what fits??
Appreciate any response.

Oh and sorry didn't mean to hijack the thread, but thought this was a more specific question that would have the same answer...
