Shaved door handels

i am having my emblems shaved off in the next few months. While im there i was wondering if it would look good if i got my door handels shaved too. I have never seen a mustang with the handels shaved, anyone have pics? or suggestions? do you think it would look good or bad?and comment or suggestions greatly appreciated

I think it looks ok at best to be honest.
I don't like the mod because electronics can fail a lot easier than the mech. parts in a door.

very true. when i was looking at trucks i came across a custom ranger with shaved handels and ever since i have been throwing around the idea, i have just never seen a mushang shaved myself and i dont want to do it if its going to look like crap or even just OK. i really would like to see one with the handels shaved but getting your guys opinions on looks is the closest i can get.

you cover it with a metal plate and have it welded on and then sanded and smoothed out. then door popers

Not the best PS job ever, sorry.

I personally like the way it looks ALOT.

I think it's well worth the money and even if the popers fail, you can get a second release, and they asren't hard to replace if they do get messed up.

One thing though, most tracks won't let you run there if you have shaved handles. They want to be able to open the car as fast as possible in an emergency.

But if you don't go to the track, then whatever.

I think they look great but you need to check your states laws...

Here in VA it is illegal to have shaved door handles on a street car...Becuase you have to have an external way to open the door manually...

Wow, thats crazy....

Safety Tip With shaved handles: Battery In The Trunk.
- that way if it dies you can charge it with no problems.

Also nice to have a manual pull cable hidden somewhere if applicable.

here is how i would do it. shave the handle like you want. then run a manual release in the trunk of your car. you can use 1 for each door it you want. the new corvette has a small button to open the door and uses no mechanical device on the outside. so there is a hidden key hole in the area of the license plate light. that pops the rear hjatch and thwere is a small handle is the trunk on the left hand side that manually opens the driver side door. just hide it in the back behind the cardboard covering your tail light bulbs. if you want you could probabily get an e-brake cable and make a couple brackets and be done in a couple hours.
