LED Shift Knob

I have a 96 GT, and I want to replace the stock shifter with one that has an LED to light up the gears. It probably sounds weird, but I want to add a little light to my interior during night driving. I was just wondering if anyone has ever seen one. The closest I have come from google and stuff is either a plastic one that lights up like a flashlight, or an LCD one made in Germany.

you mean the one that shows what gear you are in on the actual shifter?

Not really. I'm not even sure if they make one, but just something that has all the gears backlit. I was thinking about trying it myself, etching out the gears engraved on the shifter and filling them with clear plastic or something, then lighting the whole thing with an LED, but I thought if they made something like it, that would be easier.

I have an automatic transmission and I want to go with a similar look. I looked on andysmotorsports.com but I couldn't tell if any of them had a button for overdrive. Any ideas?
