Interior Vinyl Tip

Well, i just wanted to post this for anyone that may have the same problem i did. When i bought my car, there was some discoloration in the vinyl to the left of the cd player. It looked like it had been scuffed and the paint rubbed off. Until today I just kinda put up with it and pretended it wasnt there...I couldn't see it while driving anyway, the steering wheel was in the way. but, today I found a gray crayon and thought the color matched the vinyl pretty well, and I figured the wax crayon could get down into the textured vinyl surface. Anyway, you can see my results below...i am pretty pleased with it. not perfect, but certainly an improvement.

haha.
i've used sharpie before on random parts...the only bad thing is that sharpies aren't really black...they shine purple in the light.

I was thinking about putting racing stripes on my mustang. Think the crayons will work?Shit-I got a whole box of them, every color you could imagine. if it works I will mix my colors and go for the crayola mystic chrome look.

Come on...you can still be cheap but please mix black and white model paint to desired color and make it more perminate. You can fix a broken antenna with scotch tape but that doesnt make it right.
