I have 18" rims with Nexen 3000Ns I belive. May just be Nexen 3000 without the N.

Low profiles will not do that bad, I live in Mississippi and the car is my DD. You simply have to go slower over the holes and bumps. Imagine that you care to lowered 3" and you have to go slow over everything. If people behind you get mad, its just because your rims look better

how wide are these rims? thats what you need to know.

i front my rims are 18/9s with 245/40 tires, and in back they are 18/10 with 265/35s. once i need new tires ill be getting 295/35s in back. with low pros just be careful going over potholes, i got a small chip on my right front from damn menards parking lot, i just wasnt paying attention. as far as burning rubber they are just fine.

this will help you understand what the sizes mean...
