Fog Lights
I have no idea how many people will read this but i need some advice...
I want fog lights... pretty damn bad too! But there is no way in hell that i am going to pay $200 for them. VMP Tuning - Ford SCT & GM HPT Custom Handheld Flash Tuners: 97-04 Everything But The Foglights - Kit and then the lights need to be purchased on top of that. So either way it looks like i have to buy the lamps, but the rest of the system is up to me. So here is my plan. I will get some GT fog lights off of ebay just cause its cheap and available. From there I will purchase some 893 bulbs from a part store, just for first time mach up and such. Then it will be time to get some bulb connectors Connectors Pictures and then I would just have to splice it into my driving lights. Now this kit would give very limited control of the fog lights but still I would have them, and that is all I care about. Tell me what you think, and if it sounds like a good idea or not. Who knows if my kit is successful I might just have to compete with Justin and offer V6 fog light kits at an insanely low price.

Okay my next concern is the brackets. If someone happens to have a camera and foglights, I would be very grateful for a picture of how they are mounted in the bumper so I can get an idea of what the brackets need to look like, that way I can make something of my own, to keep the budget down.
Also the following links are for referrence use... cause Im rather forgetful about websites from time to time. *********************** Automotive Electrical Connectors VMP Tuning - Ford SCT & GM HPT Custom Handheld Flash Tuners: 1994 - 2004 Kit Accessories VMP Tuning - SCT Custom Ford & GM Tuning Dyno-tuning Mobile Dynojet 224xLC Flashers: 97-98 GT Foglights Kit NOKYA Arctic White Pro Halogen Bulb (893) Luminics Pure White 893 Mustang Light Bulbs

Im tryin to do this on my car also.
Im thinking that if the foglights can use the first connecter listed Connectors Pictures at that site, then you could just mount them and splice the wires into a switch or a current wire. I dont know, but I would guess you would not need all the special hookups to make them work. As long as you can get a 12v wire and a ground coming from the bulbs, you can hook them up. Tell me if im wrong tho hehe.

do you plan on getting the fog light button in the car?
All you really need is the Lights. bracket, switch, and some 12 gauge wire you dont need the harness bro. |

don't know if this will help... you've probably seen it before, but figured I'd post it anyway...
Mustangworld Fog light re-wire This is a really good idea, cause there is no way I'm paying $200+ for fogs. And those brackets that a lot of places sell are way overpriced for some pieces of plastic... |
