the paint will be unfaded if you take car of the car. my car had them for 5 yrs. i took them off with a hair dryer and goo gone and the paint matched perfectly- though i do wax my car at least once a month

+1

if you have taken care of the paint properly it will not be an issue taking off the stripes

well i just took them off....a hair dryer, goo gone, and some mothers wax. They came off rather easy, the goo gone took all the residue off, and the wax took the inprint of the letters off...

overall they look wonderful and the car looks cleaner...black didnt goto well with true blue

I'm glad that worked out for you. Thanks for sharing that story. Have you got any before and after pix?

I had the stripe added to mine and it's only been a few months but I'm not sure I like. It's okay but if I take it off and want it back on then ...

I suppose I could opt for another style.

Guess if anyone reads this and would like to offer an opinion.....

before/after:
and if you want to put them on again, you can get them off ebay for cheap. i personally think most decals, especially factory, cheapen the look of the car

I think black decals insted of white would have looked better on your car AtlanticBlue. the white look espically Cheap. but no decals is wayyy better than the white decals you had.
