Painted My CAI...

Was bored one night, and had my cai from AM sitting on the desk, so got the idea to paint it... since I saw a black cai I wanted on ebay, but they stopped selling.

Added a little personal touch too... don't know if you would consider it ricey at all... but I don't really care, not like I'm going to be showing off my engine bay all that much... a stock 3.8, whoopty f'in doo

What can I say, insomnia will make you do some really odd things, lol

I just used masking tape, stenciled out the skull, and cut the tape with my knife

sanded everything except for the skull with 600 grit sandpaper, and used engine enamel

I figured I just paid 70 bucks for a metal tube that gets my car next to no hp, might as well do something else with it, lol

I would love to have mine red with a mustang on it, I think that would look sweet.

don't have it installed yet... waiting for some time off to do it (since I'm going to change my spark plugs while it's off), and a warm enough day, lol, but I'll get some pics up when I do

hopefully I'll remember too...

got it installed yesterday, chipped a little paint near the bottom, but a little touch up paint can fix that.

and yes, that is duct tape over the rubber grommet on the top half

had nothing to put there, so put a screw in and taped it up

hmmm.... I like the way you think sir...

idk if I could use ford or mustang symbols though... copy write and all that (if I was to sell it). Don't want to piss off ford enough that they ban usage of pictures or anything lol
