maybe.

depends how sun faded your paint it.
talk to a detailing shop and see if they could buff it out if you decide to pull them

ok so they painted the door first then put these on so all i would need to be worried about is sun fade / glue residual
and not lack of paint

ok so i decided that i was gana try and pull them off today, so being cautious i pulled back a little of one and looked and it seams that under them is missing a coat of paint, as if after they put them on they then put another coat on the car,
so i was wondering if anybody else has had this problem or not.

okay those moldings are just double sided taped on after the car is painted. The ONLY reason a there is a hard edge around the mouldings is because door has been repainted and whoever painted was to lazy to do it the right way and just masked the molding off and sprayed around it. Will you take a pic for me showing the edge. Cause if i understand your description right then the only way to make your door look right after you pull it off is to get the whole door repainted. also if it is like that don't be suprised when your clear starts pealing off your door around the moulding if you leave it on.

Also saying the the paint is fine underneath, with your car being white i bet there will be hardly any fade diff if none at all.

you shouldn't have a problem with faded paint, especially with white, I took off my rocker stripes on my car (01 red) and had no faded paint, and my car is kept out in the sun (by me, and by the owner I bought it from).

+1 on the pic, I'm thinking of taking off the door guard too, and want to know how it turns out...

your car must have been repainted at some time, because ford puts the door guards on after painting the whole car.

that difference in paint is probably what travis_afx was saying, someone painted over them

ya travis help me out last night and we figured it was due to a shoty repair job from a fender bender before i bought the car

but assuming your car hasn't been in any wreaks you shouldn't have any problems if you pull them off
