Mustang Cutout; Anyone interested in one?

I have someone interested in a mustang cutout for behind their seats. I know there were some people who really liked the idea in a previous thread. I'm curious if there are any other takers so that I can get some supplies in bulk, and possibly create some kind of system.

Feel free to IM me @ AIM: FordMustang0288, email me: TazMan1688@yahoo.com , or send me a PM...where I can let you know what kind of price we would be looking at, or anything additional that you would like to add.

For some reason I can't edit my posts...

I'd also be up for experimenting with different designs, or any other ideas you may come up with(if I have the skills, I'll give it a shot). IE, instead of a mustang cutout...maybe text. "3.8", "232", etc

you can only edit i think its 15 minutes after you post.

looks sick though dude, but I dont see many buying into it unless they have a system behind it like in the pics

Why thank you Zatrekaz. Hoping it comes out better than mine did....which was damn good!

I have a few '98 owners on another board that are interested in this as well. Here's 1 question & a statement for ya. Are the interiors of a 98 & an 02 the same...well as far as the rear seat area goes. I've honestly never been in a mustang besides mine. IF not, i'm thinking about spending the day @ a junk yard. Unless someone would be kind of enough to provide some pictures & dimensions. Once I get these down, I don't see why I couldn't make cutout's for those coupes as well.

I also have some interest in an RSD. Obviously I haven't built one yet, but again...I'm up for the challenge. I found a writeup on an RSD the other day which would fall in great with the look of the cutout. It would obviously increase the cost due to extra materials, shipping, & a bit of labor. Let me know if your interested, and if you have any preference in which tutorial I use...as for which look you wanted.

Oh damn, I dont want to step on anyone's toes. I'll be careful of that one. But thanks for the heads up.

I've also got an idea on how to mount trunk lid mats to the trunk! So whilst i'm buying carpet & boards...if anyone has interest in one of these, feel free to contact me as well. lol. It's amazing how starting with one idea, and a set of skills...you can actually expand & make other things.

Btw, is this something I should post in the For Sale section?? lol

Hmm, I would think so. It would take a bit of cutting of the rear seat delete. You could either remove the top portion of the rear seat delete, or cut a large square in it larger than the mustang cutout, so you can see through the mustang into the trunk.

Now that I see your sig again, I am starting to believe the red neons are photo shopped...what color are you painting the car??? Keeping it red?

As for making a cutout with an RSD...there are a few options
You could remove the top half of the rsd, and my cutout SHOULD fit well with it
You COULD cut an area out of your rsd, but It may be easier just to remove the top half
Or I can make you a whole new delete, with the cutout included as the top half

What would be badass, would be this cutout on the top, displaying the subs... and another cutout on the bottom displaying the amps... say the top a Mustang, and the bottom like... V8 Supercharged or somethin to compliment the mustang on the top.

Im undecided... All black, or two tone Black/Red. Black on the top, Red on Bottom. I have to learn to paint first... using an old 1987 F-150 as a test dummy to learn on.

I actually have someone who wants to put the amp beneath the RSD, I have a feeling the amp will overheat though. Although, I have seen some pretty confining setups in almost every show car.

Go with the two tone!!! I would love to do that to my car, or simply competition orange s:

You can always have an amp that has fans, or install a Crossflow fan. Plus, the bottom of our seats on the metal have a rubber gorment that opens to the outside. You could always grab some tough metel mesh, and make a filter of sorts for that spot.

Hmm, then again you might get water in it. Hell, just install fans on the top if heating is an issue. Just gives ya the "Ya, my amp is so badass it needs extra fans" bragging.

LOL. I guess he could splice into the power of the amp to actually power the fans. I know the amp he has actually has fans in it, but I wasn't sure if there would be enough available air to actually circulate within the fans.

I would love to actually have the amp beneath the RSD, I will just have to work on the design a bit.

Thanks for your input, I'll have to use you as my engineer!

Install a fan on the extream corner of the plexi, blowing in, and one on the opp corner blowing out. Therefore air goes in, amp fans pull it into the amp, and the extra is exhausted out. If you want perfect are pressurization then 2 in 1 out.

Airflow would work like this on the bottom part of the RSD with two fans in and one out... Maybe not to scale, but this is an idea of how it would work, and an idea of how the air would flow.

Nice find, now I will have to find some fans to go in there...

How do ya'll think this would look? Sorry for the horrible chop, but basically just airbrush the plexi with various designs...

Find? I made it

PAC PF-2 (pac-pf2) , Car Installation & Accessories, Amplifier Installation, Cooling Fans - Sonic Electronix
PAC CF-1 (pac-cf1) , Car Installation & Accessories, Amplifier Installation, Cooling Fans - Sonic Electronix

I think it would look good kinda ghosted, like a fade into the plexi.
