Burnout Rubber Stuck to Fender

The previous owner of my car... along with myself.. have melded tire rubber to the rear fender and I'm wondering what I can use to get it off. I've tried straight up washing it off and hitting it with a scrub brush but no luck. My dad said to try gasoline but I'm afraid that will eat away at my paint too much. Anyone know of a trick or product that will take it off rather easily?

Yea just make sure you wash the car and probably wax that area after that.

Just wanted to let you guys know it worked great. It'll ruin a few rags but they're fun to light on fire after. Keep your hose close and wash your hands before playing with a lighter..

next time wag that area really good. 2-3 applications just behind the wheel. that will help with the rubber not wanting to stick. if it does get some dawn dish soap and just wash rubber off the car along with the wax.

i rubbed the rubber off my buddys car with my hand. it was a flat paint though. im not sure if that made a difference.
