I seen this done on many black and gray cars, looks great i think. But check the laws in your area bc its probably illegal like everything else you can do to the car.

Alot of tint shops will tint your tail lights.(make sure they us soap and water to clean them not alcohol bc they cleaned my buddy's car with alcohol and it gave the tail lights a white color film over the lights they said it was from the alcohol)

You should be fine tho if you dont go tooo dark on the tint.

Sorry I have no pics.

you can buy spray paint that will tint lights. i went to the local ricer shop and they wanted 25$ for one can so i didnt do it.

i also went to the local tint shop and they told me it was illegal, yet people still sold the paint in town, then he went on to tell me if it was his car he would use krylon gloss black to tint his lights.

i hate the shops in town cause they always tell me that kind of BS.

but american muscle sells the tint. its 30bucks. i thought it was cheeper. they also have pics on there.

you can also just purchase the Tail Light covers from American Muscle. Thats what I was thinking about doing, so that way if you get pulled over you can just take them off and have it looking stock again.

Ive seen the spray on tint stuff and it looked really nice. Im sure that is one thing that is easly messed up if not done right and slowly. I would diffently put atleast a light tint no matter what.

I've done it with NightShade before. It's actually a spray on tint. NightShade, clear coat, a little sanding, and wax will will make them shine and look good. You can also vary the darkness depending on how many coats are applied. Google it and you can find lots of "How To's"

no problems if applied correctly. i have washed mine, rubbed up against them, hit them with stuff, etc, they hold just fine.

Good luck making a decision now lol. Personally I think they both look great. You can't go wrong either way but if I did it again I would get the strips. It's way too easy to screw up the spray and it takes a little more work to get them looking good.
