Little Help Please!!

Ok color me stupid (you really dont have to)
I am painting my valve/cam covers.& I have been trying to find the thread where someone else here recently did theirs with the Ford Racing Logo on them. I liked the look because it faded from like maybe orange to yellow to white, or something like that. I am wanting to do something similar & wanted to look at the pics to help me along.

Anyone that can find that thread would really help me out. & yes Ive searched

I have my cam covers off & have them painted Tungsten Gray to match the body color. Now I want to paint the Ford racing on there Using a metalic copper/orange - metalic purple - metalic maroon/burgandy. Just not sure whick way to fade/ layer the colors..

Just paint the base color then get a stensil off of the internet and spray it after the basecoat dries. You are using some kind of spray can right? Now you got me wanting to do this. It's a lot cheaper than buying some.

Oh I didn't see about the fading part. That's going to be tough. I got no clue.

Well for now I am just going to leave them them painted Tungsten Gray to match the body color & maybe put some decals or emblems on them down the road. Keeping them without any frills might be the better way to anyway..?
Only time will tell..
I will post up some pics tomorrow when I have them reinstalled.
