Are you talking about where you actually have the flames shooting from the tailpipes?

You need a spark plug in the exhaust tip with a coil. There are detailed instructions if you do a search on google. All you are doing is burning raw fuel that is running thru the exhaust because when they are activated the ignition is deactivated on the engine.

Make sure you put some sort of flame retardent on the bumper or you'll born the hell out it. Bud of mine did it for about 200 bucks then he melted the bumper showing off.

Simple mod man, you can install yourself. About, 20 bucks worth the parts but if you order a kit preassembled it's around 50, which is easier if your not familiar especially since it comes with instructions.
http://www.flamekitz.com/flamekitzstore.html Those are known to work good, merely burning off raw fuel in the pipes. It's generally safe, just like mentioned above, by a flame retard. compound and line your bumper above the pipes. If you don't... you should be okay, these kits produce a nice flame but nothing insane. Cool too look at though, especially nifty for a stang. And no... I don't have one, I have installed one though. It's just basically a line to a switch which you place in your car, and a spark p in your tailpipe about an inch in. Basically it. Good luck |

There is an ignite switched you have to hold.
You can't actually... safely do it while the car is running. So what the case ends up being is you put the car into neutral, rev it to about 5,000RPM's and then press and hold the igniter switch until you see fire, then let off both the gas and switch. Works great...

There is this cream which is suppose to be heat resistent which you can rub up under the bumper and it's suppose to work good... I've never tried it.
