Tail pipe cleaning

I'm curious as to what y'all use to keep up with road grime, rocks and dirt on your tailpipes. It is nearly impossible to polish them without destroying a rag.

Thanks

For I while I was using the mothers power ball..It's pretty good at it and it lasted a while. Really though a quick trip through a car wash (or use your own power washer if you have it) and blast the tail pipes clean before you polish them.
