I feel so stupid

So today I was repainting my windshield wipers cuz they had gotten faded and spotty. After I finished I was putting 'em back on and I put the passenger side on a little crooked so I was trying to get back off and it was a little hard so I put my hand down on the car to get a little leverage and I stuck my had right through my wiper cowl cover and smashed the passenger side all to hell. Needless to say I feel like a total idiot.

I was just wondering if anyone knew where I can get a new one for under $200. I called a few junk yards around here and they all said that basicaly that's a crap part on all their mustangs and they usually get broken. Also I want a new one so it won't be all brittle. So if ya can help please do lol

Yea I called a few of the scrap yards that catalog their parts, they don't even put 'em in the system cuz they all get broken. I'm gonna go to a junkyard tm to look around. I just want a new one cuz a used one will might just end up being just as brittle. But if I find one I'll def pick it up just as a temp fix. I just don't really wanna pay like 250 for a new one

im not sure how bad it is but if it,s not to bad you could just put bondo or fiberglass over it and sand it down and then repaint it. just an idea for maybe a temp fix

My neighbor did that the other day to his '98. You're talking about the plastic thingy in front of the windshield, but behind the hood, under the windshield wipers?

Yeah I smashed mine all in too. I'm just gonna go with it..Isn't worth 220 to fix it..That's a set of pulleys..Or gears.

So if I got a new one and like idk covered it in some really strong fiberglass and painted it would that make it less likely to get all brittle and possibly brake again?
