i say just use some high heat paint. it will hold up fine except on that spot where u have something rubbing it a lot, but that is the same with any paint u put on it.

NO NO NO, don't sandblast it. if it needs to be stripped of the clear coat or something, then get it soda blasted. sand blasting will leave small particles of sand in your aluminum. that will in turn ruin you powdercoat during the baking process. with soda blasting all you have to do is wash the part with a viniger/water mix with a ratio of 1:1. then rinse with some warn water. trust me on this one. been there, done that.

I'd go for powdercoating...

You may think it's expensive, but barring some unforseen circumstance, it'll hold up longer than spray paint

definately don't sandblast but powdercoat will rub off too if something is rubbing against it. the stuff is not indestructable.

Maybe I won't bring it by this place. They sound like they have no idea what their doing.
