New Roof

Has anyone replaced the roof on their mustangs. Imparticular the 99-04. Having a 2000 myself with a bunch of dents from a previous owner's girlfriend. To be honest I think the girlfriend must have looked something like King-Kong because she pounded the sh!t out of it.

What do you mean? Replace it with glass?! Oh and I already have the new roof it's in great condition looks like it would be just a matter of disassembling the interior parts connected and then drilling out rivets but I know it could never be that easy.

T-tops would be nice but I'm not quite sure how I would go about that either. By the way the new roof was given to me for free because the guy I bought the car from is a good friend of mine who's daughter absolutely loves me lol.

if it is just the paneling only hard part would be getting the glass resealed on it. a shop would probably save you a good deal of time and a head ache, or just take off your head liner and know the dents out with a rubber mallet its fairly thin metal

The guy I bought it from said he already took it in to have the roof fixed and they tol him that with it being a black car the problem would be that since the paint would get so hot that it would just flex back into dents. they showed them pics of a car they had previously done with the same prob and they said if he could find another skin for it he could do everything himself but highly recommended that he take it in for the glass part.

its just out of shape it shouldnt stay that way since the metal wants to be back to the normal shape. try getting some ice and putting it on the dents that will draw them out a good bit then hammer them the rest of the way out. It should stay

Well I have pics but the roof was super dirty when I took them, and even I have a hard time picking them out. But it's pretty much the whole passenger side half of the roof. I should have some up if I can get a good picture by this weekend when I wash the car, but can't make any promises. I'll even try to get some of the new roof.

As for removing the dents, I've got to get some dry ice because it works way better than regular ice. Heat it with the heat gun a fair amount and then touch it with some dry ice usually pops them right out but I've been so busy lately I haven't even thought about it. At the worst it'll be a good temporary fix if I end up having to replace with my other roof skin.

Ok So finally got some pics of my dented roof although it was difficult to get any good ones. I didn't make it home this weekend to really clean it up but here's what I did get.
