New cervini hood QUESTION???

Hey all just got my Cervini Ram air type IV hood installed and I have a question. with the huge scoops being open am I gonna have to worry about water getting into the cold air intake? Do I need to think about about covering the scoops with some sort of fine mesh to cut down on the amount of rain getting through???

Good question and I don't know the answer as I thought only Raisin Bran had two genuine scoops. Aren't those fake?

Take a look through the inlets and make sure the water doesn't have a direct path at the intake filter. I don't think it does.. If there is a direct line make a shield from sheet metal.

Funny, as soon as I posted, I realized I should have said "I thought those were fake", but was unable to edit post. Sometimes I have the option and other times I don't.

This is complete madness!

You wont have a problem with suckin up water, not enough to damage anythin at least. The water is heavier than air so if some did get on it youd just suck in the lighter air around it. you need to submerge the filter to really have a problem.

you can only edit your most recent post, the edit option disappears after 15 minutes if I recall.

it's so if you say something offensive or something completely retarded, you can't 'reword' anything later on in the conversation..keeps everything honest.

The only thing you really have to worry about is a filthy engine bay form all the air, dirt, bugs and shit gettin' in there.

I already have a list of mods for this winter but I'm hoping to get the stalker kit next spring or summer. The thought of rain entering the scoops never crossed my mind.

Any thoughts ppl ?

Well as you can see this is what I came up with, I will perhaps cut down on some of the direct rain coming into the hood full force...
