Engine Painting

Anyone ever paint their engine? Not the traditional solid block coloring, but like a paint scheme. I am wanting to paint my engine and wanted to know if you guys knew of what paint to use and such. Thanks.

Any paint will work fine. It doesn't have to be high temp. Chances are the block will never see anything higher than 200 degrees. I've used cheap rattle can paint for years and never had an issue.

Cool. Cost aside, you think it would be a good idea to get the headers painted too or leave them chrome? I am not sure if chrome would work well with the paint scheme idea I have. Thanks alot for your time.

Headers will have to be ceramic coated to get any life out of the finish. Painting headers just doesn't work because they see temperatures of around 1400 degrees.

Hey that's cool. What companies offer header wraps? Can I get them in colors like white, yellow, black, blue, gold, red, etc? Thanks much for your help.

Thanks, guys. As soon as the weather changes for the better here, I will try and get pics of the ride before work is started on it.
