WTB: Looking For Fuel Pickup

I have a carb'd 88 Mustang GT and looking for the tubes to place, in place of my old stock pump so my holley can get some fuel.

I don't know howmuch longer the stock pump can keep supplying the holley.

If you have one please post price.

If you dont want to spend the dough on a new one maybe you could get a whole tank out of a pre 86 model from a salvage yard.

Well, I've already bought me a new holley pump and installed it. Don't want to waste the money buying a whole tank that already has the carb pump

the fuel pumpm on the carburated motors was mechaniccal (it ran off the motor) So the tanks in the carbed cars didnt have a pump on them. It was just a pickup tube with the filters on it. So what IM getting at is that if your local salvage yard has a carbed model with a tank in it, It might be cheaper to buy the parts localy than to order new ones or try to ship one in from someone on the net. Just a thought though.

I understand. I wasn't to clear anyways. My car is a carb conversion EFI to Carb so I wi=ould be wasiting more money trying to get the eccentrics and another pump. I just basically need a tube that will hang from the top of the tank insert all the way down to the bottom so the holley pump and drinking and my car can sing again.

Im not trying to tell you to get excentrics or a new pump. You already have all that. Im telling you that the insert out of a carbed model would work and probably be cheaper than buying a brand new piece. The insert from a carbed model would have the longer tube without the electric pump attached and could probably be picked up for 25 bux or so out of a salvage yard vs the cost of a new insert.

AHHHHH I SEE WHAT YOUR SAYING sorry

Like i've said, this is my first fuel whatver installation but yeah I see what you mean. That insert like mine with the pump on it is useless, and what you are telling me is to order one like from an 84-85 stang that's carbd, and that one would have the same tank insert, without the pump so my holley can sucking gas....

I gotcha sorry, I will be making calls in the morning.

You know, after reading this post... i really feel like an ass LOLOL. Im sorry dude, I just honestly didn't understand you at that time LOLOL

Yeah I've been looking around. I live in this crappy pice town where they are full of chevy's and civics. Haven't really found any tank with the pickup for my car yet.

If you can find one let me know I will just grab the info from you and order.
