Im looking to buy a good exhaust for my 04 Gt... I just but a BBK X pipe on it and now it is time for a good cat back. If anyone knows a good place to get one or has one hit me up.... thanks

just to name a few. and do you know what you want catback wise or the sound you want.

Not necessarily. "Open headers" means that there is no pipe attached to the collecter. Even if the attached pipe is only 6 inches long, its not open headers anymore. It becomes free flowing.

I remember having this discussion with GMK over at MF once. He had been driving around for a long time with staight pipe all the way back and he was trying to tell us that he had been running "open headers".

On a street car, I would actually prefer a chambered muffler to provide a little back pressure. Either remove the cats or replace them with high flows, whichever your emission laws would allow, and add some chambered mufflers. X or H pipe is really a matter of personal prefference on how you would like it to sound.

I think a better term would be "LOUD" instead of open-headers.....If your not sure what you would like, I would suggest riding in a few different stangs with different exhausts and see what you like and can live with on a daily basis. There are plenty around the peninsula area that would be glad to help ya out.

Right now I have a bbk x pipe on the stock exhaust and I think I am gonna go with a MAC catback system, or a magnaflow magnapack.

I have a bassani o/r x pipe and a mac cat back. I personally think it sounds pretty good, but it is a little loud. I'm local if you want to check it out let me know, and I'll be happy to let you hear it.
