A new performance parts business formed by Shelby Automobiles™ and Scott Drake Enterprises, Inc. was introduced at the 33rd Annual Mid-America Ford Performance and Shelby Meet earlier this month. With over 65 years of history behind them, they’ll be offering a complete line of products for the 2005 and newer Ford Mustangs, Shelby GT’s and Shelby GT500’s.

Shelby Automobiles announced today, for a mere $28k, power hunger enthusiasts can claim ownership of a factory warrantied 600 horsepower Modded Shelby GT500, aka the previous reported Super Snake package. Utilizing newly developed GT500 performance packs, the package will include enhancements to the GT500’s looks, handling, and power.
J.D. Power and Associates recently announced their findings for the 2007 Initial Quality Study (IQS). Taken from their website, this study “serves as the industry benchmark for new-vehicle quality measured at 90 days of ownership and captures problems experienced by owners in two distinct categories—quality of design and quality of production (defects and malfunctions).” The Mustang, and in fact many other Ford vehicles, have performed extremely well in this year’s field.
Turbonetics announced today a new, bolt-on single turbo kit currently available for the 2005 – 2006 Ford Mustang GT, and soon (a couple months) to be available for 2007 models as well. Ready for sale and shipping now, the kit incorporates a patented ceramic ball bearing turbocharger for immediate spool-up and custom ECU re-flash for silky smooth power delivery from the moment that you step on the gas pedal.
Most notably known for their famous motorcycle rally – Sturgis, South Dakota this year will play host to a rally of another breed – this time Mustangs. The 1st Annual Sturgis Mustang Rally is scheduled for August 31st thru September 2nd, 2007 for an exciting Labor Day weekend. Maybe soon Sturgis will be know for Mustang week, in addition to bike week.
