Split Decision part Deux

The winter season is a depressing time for the Mustang owner, as most of us are forced to hunker up and wait out Mother Nature’s frosty wrath.  But some Mustangs never sleep, whether they reside in the warmer southern locations or they are willing to brave the harsh inclement weather.  December 2012′s holiday themed ROTM contest brought out the cars that dare to embrace the cold.  When I say “cold”, I mean so cold that drama arises within the voting itself.  After disqualifications of the two leading cars and an eventual perma-ban, we were left with the second ROTM two-way tie in Modded Mustangs history.

Fine Art

Gleaming redfire metallic paint, black chrome fr500′s, an endless list of modifications and a stance to die for, 2011 Chick of the Year, Tinkerbell_too, shows the boys how its done by winning her third MM crown.  If the image above doesn’t make your right foot tingle or it doesn’t conjure sounds of screaming tires begging for mercy, then please look away.  If it doesn’t make you want to grab your steed’s keys and head for the open road, windows and hammer down, then please stop reading now.  But, if you can hear the deafening growl of an American v8 in full song and smell the burning rubber… If you can hear the tings of tire bits and pebbles being thrown into the wheel wells…your pulse quickens and you can feel adrenaline pumping through your blue oval veins from just a picture…then you can truly appreciate all that is Mustang.

The N/A Ghost

October’s ROTM brought us a car that has been built for bracket racing.  Casper GT’s 2000 Mustang GT has been meticulously modified for drag strip reliability.  Now before you start thinking of a big loping cam or the sound of a spooling turbo let me point out that the cam covers on this GT have never even been off.
