Shelby and American Racing Wheels

Eric Carr, VP of American Racing Equipment, inc., has teamed up with Carroll Shelby International, inc. to manufacture and market a new line of wheels fitted to the Ford Mustang under the brandishment of “Carroll Shelby Legend Series.”Two styles of wheels will be available under this brand: the “Shelby Razor” and the “AR427 Shelby Cobra.”

The Shelby Razor is a vintage style wheel that will fit many ford vehicles and rear ends, and the AR427 Shelby Cobra is a more modern wheel that will be fitted to the 2005+ Ford Mustangs.

VP Carr stated, “American Racing is celebrating it’s 50th Anniversary, so we teamed up with Carroll and his group to offer an exciting selection of purpose-designed wheels for specific performance applications … Shelby enthusiasts will be excited about both designs—the AR427 is nostalgic and traditional with many fitment choices, and the Shelby Razor is definitely a zoomy modern muscle look for the new Ford Mustang owner.”

An excited Carroll Shelby stated, “Our wheel project with American Racing is a perfect fit … every American muscle enthusiast should be excited–stay tuned, we have some real surprises in store for the hardcore collector, as well as the daily driver.”
