In a theater near you on December 14th, look for a Ford Shelby GT500 tearing up the streets of New York City in I Am Legend, starring Will Smith. It’s yet another notch in Ford’s belt for building it’s brand in Movies, the new “commercial” of sorts. In addition to the Mustang, Ford also landed cameo roles for the Escape Hybrid and the Expedition - though it’s the GT500 owning the roads.

Steeda Autosports modified their own Mustang GT500 as a package upgrade for the 2007 model. At the 2007 Camp Steeda/SVT Owners Association Open Track event at Sebring National Raceway, Steeda unveiled the project and associated modifications list.

A new performance parts business formed by Shelby Automobiles™ and Scott Drake Enterprises, Inc. was introduced at the 33^rd Annual Mid-America Ford Performance and Shelby Meet earlier this month. With over 65 years of history behind them, they’ll be offering a complete line of products for the 2005 and newer Ford Mustangs, Shelby GT’s and Shelby GT500’s.

Shelby Automobiles announced today, for a mere $28k, power hunger enthusiasts can claim ownership of a factory warrantied 600 horsepower Modded Shelby GT500, aka the previous reported Super Snake package. Utilizing newly developed GT500 performance packs, the package will include enhancements to the GT500’s looks, handling, and power.

Just when you thought things were good… they get better. Carrol Shelby has announced yet another new special edition Mustang, dubbed the “Super Snake”. Likely inspired by the 427 cubic inch GT500 Super Snake built back in 1967 (and recently re-animated by Chip Foose), this version promises to lay down the law with up to 725 horsepower - and yes you heard that right.
