problem

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

i have a 93 mustang 2.3 with 180,000 miles on it. rebuilt auto tranny with less than 10,000 miles on it.

-problem #1
the car when you floor, the rpms jump where there suppose to be but the car doesnt gain any speed and from a stop when you floor it the car goes to 35 mph and stays there till you let off the gas. and when the check engine light turns on forget about power. the car jus bogs out like crazy

-problem #2
at a dead stop ill hit the gas and the car doesnt move at all for sometimes 3 seconds.

I know the car has no power to begin with but this is crazy for how much slower the car is and not to mention gas milage is crap. what can it be?

fuel pump was recently done. is it possible that it could be a clogged cat?

my issue was a hard start and no acceleration. I had already replaced the fuel pump so I went and replaced the fuel filter to be sure everything was new. Replacing the fuel filter fixed the issue.......
