Power Steering Reservoir

How is the power steering reservoir attached to the actual pump? Right now, I can grab the filler neck of the reservoir and move it back and forth about 1/2". When I move it to the left, it starts leaking pretty bad, so I just push it back right a little and it stops leaking.

The actual pump is tight on the bracket, but is the reservoir worn/loose on the pump? How is it connected to the pump?

The reservoir is held in place with a large o-ring/seal.

He's right a big ol o ring is what seals it to the pump and a fitting on the pressure side to lock it in place... If the pump seems good yet u can always take it apart and either get a rebuild kit or an o ring for the reservoir.. Dorman also makes a kit with seals and the reservoir part number should 603-900.
