4 speed ?s

i was wondering if there were 2 different 4 speeds for these 2.3 liters. i have 2 4 speeds sitting in my garage no tags on them so i dont know alot about them. I do know they both have 10 spline input shafts. I have a 4 speed in my race car and just tore 1st and 2nd gear out. I was told this is a 23 spline( havent pulled transmission yet) if this is the case am i able to swap input shafts or internals to get my tranmission going again or will i be in search for a new transmission. thanks

He is talking about manuals, not auto. I have never seen a 10 spline 4 speed for the 4 cyl mustang. Do you have a picture of the trans? The T5 5speed is a 10 spline. There are a couple versions of the cast iron case German 4 speed, but they all have a 23 spline input.
