2.3 with auto trans.

I have 92 mustang 2.3 with a auto trans. When i am at wide open throttle it will not stay in high gear it keeps droping down in to 2nd. Is there anything that i can do to make it stay in high gear at wide open throttle?

Get rid of the A4LD.

Those things are CRAP. I blew mine, had it rebuilt with some better components, and blew it again in less than a year under normal driving conditions.

And it shouldn't drop down to 2nd, it should be kicking out of O/D.

To more directly answer your question, I'd look at the kickdown adjustment. On a '92 I'm not sure if that's mechanical or electronic, though.

You'll love the C4.
You have an internal problem with the stock trans.
Pressure controls the shifts, and you had some in the wrong place at the wrong time.
