351w swap s197

So...I'm doing it too! I'm swapping my 2005, 4.6 for a 5.9 351w. This will be fun.

First pieces were purchased today, fox gas pedal and swap bracket. Plus some light harnesses.

Next will be a complete-ish BMR suspension.

Stuff and things...i.e. fuel etc.

Lastly but not least..ly(!?) Will be a complete running stock 351w. For base line, then stroking it to 408 EFI.

Couple of questions.

First off, why?

Second, what are you planning to use the car for?

Why not? There was a person on here I believe that had a 427 swapped S197.

If you're just building a track car that is fine. You run into issues if you want to drive it on the street. First off, some states, depending on smog requirements will not let you put an older motor in a newer car. Then you have the issue of getting the electronics to work. That is why I asked about the purpose of the car.
