Installing the Motor and AOD Trans

getting ready to put it back in the car, and my friend want's his engine hoist returned.

Would you go ahead and install the engine now, and transmission later, the transmission is being worked on, or wait to get the transmission back, and install it at the same time as one unit

I personally feel its easier to install the engine and trans together. It will slide right in and you don't have to mess with bellhousing and converter bolts or clutch in the car.

i bought my shop crane for $125, might just want to get your own? here is a link to my post with the details;

i have lifted my truck AOD by myself several times and those bitches are heavy, since you have the motor out i would also put it back in with the crane.
