Sold one and bought the other. Time to see what it'll really do.
Going to replace a few things while it's down and try and fix coolant leak with new radiator(pretty sure just new hose not tight enough).

I thought about going that route too, but I'm basically lazy at heart and don't want to screw around with the pedal cluster. This route is just about plug & play (with the exception of modifying one of the holes in the firewall for the booster).

The HydroBoost stuff is supposed to free up a lot of room in the engine compartment, which is nice if you're going modular.

Or a 351.

hm.

Ok everyone I am new here and know nothing about fox body's except they were mean in their day. I've always been chevy person but I always wanted a fox. Well this weekend I'm going to pick one up. It is a 90 lx 5.0 and has the following.

BBK cai
Mac shorty headers
X pipe
Cobra upper/lower intake
3.73 gears
B303 cam

Keep in mind I do know my way around an engine but this is my first fox body. My question is what kind of setup is this power wise and what additional upgrades would benefit this setup best.

Not sure if you've done so yet, but you might want to start your own thread with this one, it'll get more exposure that way.

Tried to tackle some rust on the rear frame rail above the gas tank where the impact absorber bolts up. Its not bad, but rust is rust. It worked its way into the corner so im going to need a sand blaster. Been looking to buy my own and do it myself as i am tired of taking it everywhere to get things done. In the meantime the tank is in primer awaiting new straps.

Maybe this one.

Not sure where the respirator is, might have to buy a new one. And i am not sure on media just yet. Aluminum oxide or Black Diamond fine/extra fine are my top 2 choices.

I did a little tuning on the carburetor today. Played around with the vacuum secondary throttle springs to get the opening rate just right. My co-worker came over with his 68 Mustang coupe with a 289. After I spent an hour with it, I had that old biatch purring like a kitten after I made some carburetor and timing adjustments.

Yesterday I ended up with a really clean rear bumper for my calypso coupe and front bumper and a set of decent lx taillights.

All for $225

Also no paint is needed as they're off a calypso car 😂

I'm so happy now because my front bumper had a crack in it and my rear bumper needed to be completely repainted.

Tore the front brakes apart as it hasnt been driven in a couple months and looked like crap, and getting them off was no fun thanks to the steel sleeves i installed the other year. The first pin was stuck so bad it started pulling the sleeve out of the caliper, and took 1 1/2 hours to seperate the two. Thought i stripped the spindle but thankfully not, it was just that stuck. On the other side i found a sleeve had backed itself out from the caliper at some point by 1/4", with the pin getting hung up in that same sleeve and had to pound the pin out from the backside thanks to a rusty pin. And the last pin got hung up as well. And i broke a ratchet.

It was awesome.
