Too blue for true blue?

Well, i've decided that while the motors outa my car, im going to paint the engine bay black and then chrome the motor up some and put blue accents on it all....

Heres the color i went with, what do you guys think? will it look aight or should i put it back to black?

Looks good. I like the ramp under the rear wheel too

Have you considered some motor mounts while youre in there? Just an idea, im not sure if youve mentioned it or not.

haha yea theres rocks under both back tires, and theres wood blocks under the front tires haha... so what all would look good painted blue... so far i've got the hood prop, altenator mount, radiator over flow mount, torque bars, and motor mounts.... what else would look good?

I have already painted my engine bay....black of course. That was just the bottom part of it. The top part I degreesed so it shines more. But the engine will be painted black when I get it back. But if you were goin for the true blue you just missed it lol. Its a little too light for true blue. But if your ok with it then Im ok with it.

naw i wasnt going for true blue... my mustang is true blue... i want a color that stands out but doesnt like look bad around true blue... you know it?

So thats why im asking what you guys thing haha

Im more of a sublte person. I would have went with black(Im biased lol). But otherwise its looks fine.

haha, i'd give my left nut for a black stang, but i found this blue gt a while back n had to have it haha... and im def. happy with it, but i think that blue and chrome is a killer set up

I couldn't agree more. Blue is my second favorite color on car oh but then again there is silver....lol. Why did you pull the motor out?

shattered the internals... had my valves go threw the pistons... so i've got a 5.0L stroker motor being built...

haha yea... i actually just gave my engine builder my block and told him to assemble it with forged internals and a bore and stroke job. he smiled and said he will take care of me... i'm putting 10.5:1 compression with new patriot stage 2 heads, comp cam 270's, bbk headers, accufab 70 mil throttle body, 30# fuel injectors, and a bbk cai... ontop of all my other mods previously made...the only thing the engine builders buildin is the bottom end... the rest of the work i'll be doing myself.

Yeah like I said Im goin with the Mod Max kit and Im ordering my pascetter headers tomorrow. Im goin to have a mild port and polish job on the heads. No cams unfortunatly. Stock throttle body and stock fuel injectors. I want to raise the compression to 10:1 but Im goin to save that for another motor later on lol. And after I can get that damn fuel pump she'll be goin on the dyno on the 150. Oh and I buying a set of barely used mt et streets from a buddy for $200.

hell yea bro... im looking for some drag radials for the gt now... im thinkin about getting some chrome 17's with like 315 out back and 245 up front? or im thinkin about leaving my stock rims on and putting like 275 back 245 up front... i've got 17" bullits now

On the car right now are black bullets 17x9 upfront with a 245/40/17 and out back are 17x10.5 with 285/35/17. The mt's are 275/40/17's but the mt's are actually wider than a regualr radial so they still should look fine. After I wear those out Im goin to go with a 315. But you should be more than fine with the 275's out back. When I had them on the prostars it would bog if I just dumped the clutch at like 3k.
