Question DDM Tuning HID's

I'm trying to get a set of HID's from DDM Tuning (better than VVME?) and I'm not sure what i'm supposed to get here... They will be on GT headlights and Cobra foglights. Is there anything I have to do special for the cobra fogs? I would like them to be a blueish tint, is that 6k? I pretty much just don't know what the wattage numbers, HID harness and error eliminator mean.

the headlights are 9007..i reccomend 35w on them..I've had both and not worth the extra $20 for 55w. 6ks are fine for a lightish blue tint, but will be a good white light from your point of view driving. you don't need the eliminatiors...dunno what the cobra bulb is but its H"something"

Ya guys, you need a Dual-beam 9007 35w 6000k uppers and then a single beam 35w 6000k lower in whatever bulb type that is. You do not need any additional items, I have them and they work great. I ordered mine when they were backordered and it still only took 2 weeks.

Mine are 12000k:

Does one really need dual beams though? I have heard the single beams works alright because they are so bright.

its just if you want hi beam and low beam. so if you dont get the hi/lo kit then you wont be ever to use your "brights"
you probably wouldnt need it, but i would still get it.

The high beam doesn't make much of a difference. I got it only because having buttons on my car not work bothers me. Go for the 55 watt kit, there is a pretty noticeable difference (have had 5 different HID kits from 3 different companies). 55 watt 9007 for headlights, 35 watt 880 for stock fogs, I forget what they are for Cobra fogs. For DDM, 5000K is white with a hint of blue, 6000K is noticeably blueish, and 8000K is really blue. I'd recommend 4500K or 5000K.

35W for sure. Not enough difference between the 55W and 35W to bother. I personally went for 8000K because it is a deeper blue. 12K=watch out for hardass cops that will get on your case for those. Don't know where you live but my friend has been troubled about his 12K lights a couple times now in Florida. As for which is better between DDM and VVME... I've heard good things from both. Yet to hear anything bad.

As for the High/Low beam kits I would never think of spending the money on them because the Low beam HID's do fantastic... I live in Orlando though, and there are street lights everywhere, so it all just depends where you live and whether you have to deal with animals crossing the roads and whatnot.

no. Single is just fine, but it's your money. If you have the money why not? If i had to do it all over again, I would get single again and not have to mess with all the extra wires. I hear its a nightmare..

I agree. Big difference between 55 and 35. My buddy has 55 on his SVT Lightning, and holy shit. Not sure which manufacture he is running but I know they are an expensive kit and might not be plug and play.

Everyone who says 55 watt kits and 35 watt kits aren't much different are probably not running a relay harness like they should. Your 55 watt ballasts aren't going to reach max brightness with stock wiring. If you do get the dual beam kit from DDM, it comes with a relay harness, so that's something to take into consideration. The install is pretty simple, just take your time.

Single relay harness for low beams, it allows you to draw current directly from your battery rather than through the factory wiring (which sucks and may cause flicker). All it is is a simple 5 pin relay that goes to the battery and ballasts. I'm sure you can find a schematic online if you google it.

ebay has them for the cheapest, though you will need a bit of extra wiring with some harnesses. Best bet is to make one yourself so that you have all the exact lengths of wire and not a bunch of zip ties holding wires together. Just make sure to fuse the positive wire from the battery
