you could also try getting the lip powercoated it would look better and last longer, i wish i wouldve got my old wheels powercoated instead buying new wheels would've been cheaper

While we are on the topic of crappy paint shops eccono is terrible as well... I need to redo my rear bumper. The paint is clear and smooth but theres pieces of dirt in the paint and when you open the trunk you can see where they let the paint run...Not to mention theres too many metallics in the paint!!!!

And for OP option 1!!!

Yeah I never really thought about it but that would probably be the best way to go about it. Good point

Lol I think the blue makes it to be honest. Looks so sick. Black on sonic blue isnt bad, I just think chrome or polished looks better.

But the black with sonic blue looks orgasmic

The chrome looks great. It brings out your exhaust tips. I suggest getting Tinted head lights and your car will be the sex!

Tommy, did you paint your bullets or have them powder coated? if you painted them, whatd you use? any problems with peeling or anything like that? I dont want to ruin my rims by painting them and then having them peel and look shitty.

I painted them. I sanded them down with 220 grit, and primed them with both Dupli-Color self etching and filler primer. (I decided to sand my rims down just because I felt I would get the best result this way, even though many people have had great success just roughing the rims up with a scothbrite pad.) For the paint i used Dupli-Color High Gloss Black Engine Enamel. I had a shop make me up some laser red paint (e9) for the pinstripe. And i still havent cleared the rims yet, but i will be using some professional automotive catalyst high gloss clear from that same shop.

youve probably already seen this video, but its what i followed. (for the most part)

And so far, i have had no peeling or anything. But that being said, the rims have been sitting in my garage waiting to be mounted. So at this point, they have not seen any road time after the new paint job.
