Those E-Bay lights have plastic lenses which are more prone to melting and hazing over especially with HID's. The 03-04 OEM fogs have a glass lens. Here is some smoked ones with a glass lens.

WOW you just saved me fom crappy ass fogs. I had the plastic lens on my GT bumper and I wondered why the hell did it haze. and the top of the housing melted. Thanks for the heads up. Its worth spending a few extra dollars. Are the AmericanMuscle FOGS plastic or glass?

Separate question: will the 03-04 cobra fog lights fit on a 01 cobra bumper?

is there a difference?

I didnt think this was worth starting a new thread

This is what you want for a 99-01
1999-2001 Mustang Cobra Euro Smoked Fog Lights with brackets - pair - Fog Lights - 1999-2004 - Lighting - Home for your Ford Mustang

They are plastic lens but the 99-01 OEM Cobra lenses were plastic too.

I do not know if the AM's are plastic or glass

Not all of the ebay lights are plastic. Bought a set from user/business name optionracing on ebay a couple weeks ago. Glass lenses, 81 shipped.

cool, thanks. I guess now my question is "Is it easy to convert to the glass lens ones?"

LoL wow I never thought buying fog lights would be such a PITA. I contacted the eBay seller From optionracing like ajm said and they told me they are glass material so I went with those for $76. Also I just want to add this . I seen lots of cars that get haze in the fogs when equipped with HID bulbs. Maybe the length of the HID bulb is too close to the lens causing it to fog up. My brothers 2007 E500 Benz was fine with halogen bulbs until he put HIDs in the fogs then it caused the lens to haze. Anyone else with this issue ?

I bought a pair from option racing last week because I seen this post that they sold glass lenses.
I then decided to e-mail them to ask. OptionRacing replied : They are HIGH quality PLASTIC.

Guess I should have checked before I relied on a forum post. Plastic fogs will be here Tuesday. :-/

I'd just like to update. OptionRacing says the Foglights are high quality plastic.
THEY ARE GLASS!!!!
I just got my pair in and without a doubt they are glass and come with the harness/pigtails you need to convert your non cobra to a 03/04 cobra bumper.
$80 Shipped

Total savings $60-100 depending where you order glass fog lights and pigtails.
