More probelms with cams

I finally got a chance to Load the custom tune for the HP292's

There is no throttle response. Massive back fires and zero power. Regret ever trying to add cams to this car. Has 1/4 tank of 87 and 3/4 of 93 on a 93 tune.

Any idea on what to check or do? There are no check engine lights.

I thought i knew shit. But this is ver my head haha. Obviously. Its not burning. The fuel on that cylinder. Maybe timing is too advanced or retarded? Too much fuel chokeing the engine out

might want to tell your tuner to check his tune. I would put it back to stock tune. Im wondering about the mixing of gas also. 87 + 93 on a 93 only tune. Put some octane booster in the gas tank.

How can it be 180 out if the timing marks were all lined up correctly according to the manual.

I emailed the tuner(email tune) and waiting for his response.

Stock tune:
Idles rough, Ran rough, rich, no power

New tune:
Idles smoother, no power, backfires, rich.

I wouldnt think his fuel tank mixture would make it run like that. Did you get your maf sensor and temp sensor and all the shit plugged back in where it was?

backfire = valve open while mixture still burning. cams on correct side? how sure are you of marks lining up(even if they were the correct marks you used). hopefuly it is something simple but sounds like cam timing(ign and cam timing not on same page

Codes without CEL on.

Driver side plugs are all good.

Cyl one plug is black/dry. With heavy fuel smell

(Comparing to driver side)

Cyl 2-4 plugs are wet.

Little to no fuel smell

I spent 7 hours getting timing marks correct. I'm 100% they did not slip teeth and timing marks are lined correctly.

If valve is sticking, what do I do to fix

I hate to say it man, but it sounds like you're 180 out. I was even after I lined my timing marks up. Did you degree the cams?

I haven't been following your install very closely but my question is has the car ever ran right since the install?

what I'm getting at is do you have a tune problem or a car problem.

can you even degreed Cams with pressed on gears? They were not degreed.

I install the cams 2-3 weeks ago and just got the tune on it today. It has it ran right since the install. I have let it idle a maybe 25 minutes total without a tune.

I think we got confused, I was asking if the missing, spark plug problems, etc have been there since day one or did they just show up with the tune.

technically yes you could degree your cams with these, Trick Flow ADJUSTABLE Crank Gear 4.6 and 5.4

most folks with windsors swap to bolt on gears when the do cams though.
