You're a bigger man then me pate. I'd be at his front door with a bat. I work hard for my money and have no tolerance for anyone who takes it from me. This should be posted on other forums as a warning but I'll leave that up to you

this kind of stuff happens in the go fast world. selling parts for money with little invested is how company make money and the buy is the one who pays for bad craftsman ship. I had an issue with a engine builder who swore by a seasoned block over a aftermarket block that i originally wanted to run. of course when the block failed it was my fault for going that way and had to pay to fix it.

Basically the same thing you are describing he did to me. I had a high compression 2v car with a stall on stock 4r. Took car to him to tune and get price for vortech kit. He talks me into building the 4r before supercharging it. I let him do it. At the time I didn't know a built 4r needed a mvb to last. I get car back it shifted better. But come to find out the stall was shuttering, after learning transmissions. So I put supercharger on had him re flash the stall. Car never ran to its potential. So I rebuilt motor for turbo. Thinking my trans was good. I got it dyno'd, car made descent numbers mid 700's. On the street with et streets it was okay. Mind you on only drove it maybe 10 miles on street tops before taking it to the track. First pass, loose 2nd gear, completely free revved after shifting, I thought it was tire spin so I got back into throttle in 3rd it did same thing. Find out 2nd 3rd was gone. Take it to shop to get built here in ky, builder takes it out of car and says immediately it's not ever been opened up. I tell him to call me when he gets a chance to open it up. Completely stock 4r, lol. I'm pissed, I call him and email him, and never a response. It's been 3 yrs since that build so I let it go. After having trouble finding the correct info on parts and such for 4r, I decided to build a th400. This is my first time I believe telling this lol. I don't like bashing vendors and getting into passing match online. But yeah he ripped me off, for tune that stopped the stall from shuttering

Sorry to hear that mike it seems like he has pulled this trick on more then just myself. I was smart enough to keep my receipts and since i have spent thousands there my legal counsel is looking to see if a possible Felony violation has been committed since the amount of money exceeded a specified amount. One way or another ill get my money back for that transmission he never built me that he charged me for. This may cost me some money but what's right is right.

I have emailed him and called still with no response.

Bigjognson your more then welcome to share this wherever you like.

To me this is more then just about Horse power, its a journey and an escape from everyday life. this gives me an opportunity to relax and focus on something that I truly want yet don't really need . The reward is more then just a fast car, its a temporary escape from everyday stresses life throws at me. That and I have three sons of whom will each inherit one mustang each that makes north of 700RWHP. When they look back they can say yup dad cussed the hell out of me over this bolt while I helped him install that part LOl.
This is how I FEEL about my car although its nothing compared to yours .It gives me great satisfaction to have part in planning and modifying a car like I WANT IT TO BE! Iagree when Im driving along in my noisy gas wasting v8 Im the most relaxed and the happiest I have been in years. I think that car gives me motivation to keep going !

Like to hear about the garage time and how therapeutic it is! I can easily spend hours out there doing something that could be done in a much shorter time. Turn on some tunes, take my time, and enjoy the task. Glad I have a heated garage. As you mentioned though, come spring/summer I'd rather be enjoying it from behind the wheel instead of underneath it.

So you would take a bat to a gun fight, I think he lives in GA. now and here there is a legal right to defend yourself from people who knock on your door holding a bat!

*note disclaimer* I hate Hypocrites, Liars, Druggies/Drunks and Thieves. I am also considered an ahole in general. I am ok with it, so don't bother pointing it out, I already know.

I'm sure he meant that figuratively and not literally. In situations like this you just have to use the judicial system to win. Yes it takes time and money but its more then about money its about testing people right, and doing the right thing.

Lets get this thread back on track for now I have nothing to share other then the transmission parts have been ordered I went with a deep pan and some other goodies this time. I'm pondering on a one piece billet shaft assembly I was told about to make this thing rock solid.

That's sounds pretty good ill take that Lol

Sorting through the transmission and got everything worked out today. since everything was pretty much Stock except the clutches and old inside my tranny which was supposed to be built with new parts last time this time its getting a REAL makeover with a set of high performance clutches, all new internals such as servos, sprag, reverse drum ETC, The transmission even had a bone stock input shaft so were ordering a Billet input shaft to ensure it has a solid foundation and whatever else a 1000 HP tranny is supposed to have. Even went with a large capacity oil pan. im sure I missed some parts but I think it will be good enough to hold things down..

I think the bad transmission may be why I struggled to make power, and take off properly. thinking back ide say I was losing a lot of power through the Tranny since I know what was in it now.

You may not have even wanted to change things up if your transmission had worked correctly.

Your right, If they tranny had not broken and broke the army of the TQ converter and jammed up inside damaging my thrust bearing I would have never needed to pull my motor.

Also if the tranny would have shifted on the first build instead of bouncing off the rev limiter between gears I would have never ended p with a manual valve body.

Since you were obviously losing some through the transmission im gonna throw a new number out there of 785 rwhp or maybe even 800 on race gas but of course thats just a guess!
