Which Mufflers Should I get??

So I have decided after many hours of consideration (more like 5 minutes) that I want to replace my stock exhaust. I've decided to go with a UPR x-pipe but can't decide on which mufflers to get.. I'd like to know what everyone's favorite mufflers are (keep in mind i'm on a tight budget) because I just can't make up my mind.. Thanks!

Just an average Mustang GT.. Nothing to see here..

I have to agree with t_rail. I personally love the sound of flowmasters though too.

I don't mind 44's, but 10's and 40's are like nails on a chalk board to me.

Look on youtube. That's how I made up my mind. I spent hours searching every combination. I love Magnaflow's Magnapacks and Borla's catback. I'm sure you can find a set of Borla mufflers, but it's easy to find Magnaflow mufflers.

UPR's offroad X is awesome, and loud as hell. Are you planning on getting the UPR catted X or O/R?

I have to agree. Straight through or bullet style mufflers. Chambered mufflers don't sound all that great IMO. And drone just drives me insane..

You have to live with it everyday so just make sure its exactly what you want.

Lots of chambered mufflers get a bad name because people just think of Blowmasters when you mention them.

Lots of chambered mufflers sound just like bullet-style mufflers. In fact, I spoke with a Pypes representative who told me that they had a "Race-pro" muffler in chambered and bullet-style and they flowed the exact same and sounded nearly exactly the same. I chose the chambered version for better fitment.

More whoring out: (second vid is just after the install, so it was far quieter than it is now)

Flowmaster 40s if you are looking for a deep tone. If you want just as loud as possible and raspy look towards pypes.
My opinion: flowmasters or magnapacks sound the best.

Flowmasters sound like shit, hollow sound. There is no deep tone with them.

Go with pypes m80s or magnapacks

If you're looking for a tried and true setup that's inexpensive one route is the prochamber / flowmaster 40 muffler set up. I used to hate on flowmasters like most of the guys in this thread are but paired up with a prochamber its a whole different story. I only paid $175 for my exhaust setup (car already had mufflers and I picked up prochamber used) and compared to my last $1100 exhaust setup, I honestly couldn't be happier.

---------- Post added at 08:35 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:33 PM ----------

I do not have an exhaust video of my car but this video sounds very similar to the exhaust note in person.

I really like my regular Magnaflows. Lots of tone. I have them paired with an H though. I'm wanting an X.

Not a new edge, but same sound as what I have.

Flowmaster mufflers don't sound good on modulars. They're just cheap that's why so many people have them. Nobody who actually has a sense of hearing will tell you they sound good. I do agree with gravik on the Bassani though. Or Borla

Idk about 2v's but on my 3v modular they sound amazing. I've had a lot of compliments, one dude even thought I was rocking borlas.
