Finally got to the dyno today

So after having installed the Vortech over a week ago and staring at it in the driveway the whole time I finally got to the dyno. Car put down 389 rwhp / 360 rwtq

2004 GT
-Vortech V3 non intercooled w/Anderson power pipe
10 lbs boost
-SLP LT Headers, SLP Catted X, SLP LM1 Catback
-BBK 73mm TB
-90mm Lightning MAF /IAT Relocate to in front of TB
-Walbro 255lph Fuel Pump
-FR 47lb injectors
-NGK TR6 Plugs

IAT Temps were getting really up there so I'm adding Meth Injection and headed back for a retune. Shooting for 425rwhp or better.

I did notice after the blower install I have hesitation and bucking at low Rpms and speeds. It was happening on the temp tune on the ride up and on my current tune. Any thoughts? Fuel is not the problem, and I don't seem to have a vac leak.

Other than the small hesitation car screams and I am very happy with my results.

Your tuner needs to work on the part throttle of your tune. A lot of tuners don't spend enough time dialing in the lower rpm parts of the tunes

Congrats! Power sounds right. Mine made 356/371 with a non intercooled V1 S at 9psi years ago. Do you know how much timing?

So I'm gonna order an intercooler instead with the Vortech Race bypass valve. I am thinking I would like to pulley down to a 3.33 pulley to maintain my current boost levels. Can I just add that pulley alone or do I have to change the idler also. I'm thinking I'm gonna go with the Mishimoto M Line IC from American muscle and just use the CX Racing piping kit from eBay.
I'm hoping this setup will net me 10 - 12lbs of boost and 425 - 450rwhp.

Good numbers dude! Meth smells awesome so that is a secondary benefit to it

NVM, you are getting an IC...good choice.

See if there are any used Procharger 3 core intercoolers floating around. Great intercooler and usually run $200-$400 used. I went this route and used cxr piping. You can change just the pulley. Im guessing youll be at 11psi with this setup and a 3.33 pulley. You should really find out how much timing is in it to have an idea of what you can gain. Depending where you are now with timing 425rwhp is possible.

I made 10.36 psi with a similar setup (no longtubes) and a 3.33 pulley and a Treadstone TR10 intercooler 377rwhp through an auto.

Talked to my tuner about what my timing is at and he said max is 15 but I'm seeing about 12 at 150 degrees

Mine was at 15 non intercooled as well. On the dyno you probably saw 15 as your iats were most likely not more than 120 with a fan blowing in front. Thats what mine were. With an intercooler he can add 2 degrees to bring it up to 17. Going up to 18 degrees would be pushing it a little. So an intercooler should get you another 15-20rwhp safely if boost stays the same. Power will be more consistent as there will be less heat soak.

So I just got back from having my tuner tune for my alcohol injection setup. I am still adding an intercooler but wanted to also add the alky kit too. Very happy with my new numbers. Ended up with 433rwhp and 457rwtq @10.4 lbs boost. Can't wait to get her to the track so I can get some times.

if you're still having bucking issues I would suspect the Maf. That's around the power level that I was having a bucking problem with the Lightning maf and even a SCT BA3000. Went to blow through and a world of difference for driveability

Bucking issues have seemed to get better, still there but very subtle. However I do plan on changing over to blow through as soon as the intercooler goes in.

Yesterday it was about 85 degrees out and with the meth my temps were at 75-80. Regular driving they were around 125-135.

yes you need an intercooler ASAP yesterday it was over 90 degrees here and driving around I was logging 92 on my At's. The mishimoto R series is a over looked intercooler that seriously out performs the CX racing 4 core one. the other year when I logged with the CX racing 4 core on a day similar in heat my AIT's were well over 110 degrees.
