Vert top bubble

Did a local club cruise recently with about 40 of us and all the pictures of my car shows my vert top bubbled up. It was pretty embarrassing. Highway shots.

I've been reading this is caused by staples holding the top to the vert frame coming undone. Has anyone repaired this themselves or am I just best to go to a upholstery shop. Being in Florida there a ton, but I tend to be a DIY guy. Top is in excellent condition with no fading cracking or ripping. While the top has been replaced over 10 years ago it's been a garaged car that hadn't been a DD for almost 7 years now.

Any insight or videos would be amazing. Couldn't find much on the Google machine.

When I replaced the top on mine I didn't get the top tight enough so mine does that too. It's not too bad to tighten, just pop off the front trim piece and re-staple.

I put a new top on one of my vehicles once. It wasn't very tough to do the job, but I don't think I would want to do it again.

2 things

First you need to readjust the center bar and then stretch the front piece back tight and restaple that should square you up.
